In its seventh year, the award gives a platform and mentored development programme to emerging LA-based filmmakers aged between 18 and 34. 🎞️

6 shortlisted filmmakers have created short films responding to the theme of ‘Renewal: Resilience and New Beginnings’, examining personal, social and environmental transformations across Los Angeles’ vital cultural landscape. 🫂

Those shortlisted are Joey Bueno Breese, Alaine Farin, Xochilt Garcia, Maximus Jupiter Corona, Ziyao Liu and Devin O’Guinn.

Their films will be judged by a five-person panel including Golden Globe-nominated actress Connie Britton.
