Took a little time and adjusment in stages but my cats use it!
I am sooooo glad I got this for our cats! They actually drink from it! My cats are ridiculously picky (like most) and would only drink from their Drinkwell fountain. Long story short I went out of town once and came back to it very dirty and no longer working well. In the time it took to replace their water bowl, my cats decided that the only way to drink water was from a cup and that cup had to be next to my bed. Very frustrating considering I could never keep it filled enough for them. I decided to purchase this based on others positive remarks. First of all it is so much easier to clean than the Drinkwell. The Drinkwell has to be taken completely apart to clean it, which isn't the end of the world except that the closest plug for me is behind a shelf and in a cabinet. So difficult to get to on a regular basis. This one needs to be taken apart, yes but not to the same extreme. it is possible to leave the pump behind as the pump suction cups to the bowl and is therefore removable. And the plug is an adapter so I can either unplug it completely or just pull the cord from the wall plug. Either way I do not have to drag it from behind shelves. I can easily take the rest of the bowl to the sink, clean as necessary and wipe the pump down from where it stays by the wall. Love that feature. The water stays fresh and there is a decent amount of water there. At first they would not touch it.
