Walksnail FPV Tracker Ground Station

Here's the setup details on my Walksnail FPV Ground station. It utilizes a MyFlyDream Crossbow mini antenna tracker which aids in proper positioning of directional antenna. I customized a Walksnail VRX such that I can use my existing high gain patches. Note that an antenna tracker is not necessary when doing long range flying especially for fixed wing flying in a straight path since the tracker won't be moving that much when you are already 30km out and beyond. Nonetheless, the tracker will still be helpful in any case, not just an expensive accessory.

In my setup, you might notice the two bluetooth modules and ELRS receiver, I only use one at a time, depending on the transmitting unit. When using Dragonlink, I forward telemetry (Mavlink) to the tracker via HC05 bluetooth. When I use ELRS, I forward telemetry (CRSF) to the tracker through mirroring using HM10 bluetooth. On this demonstration, however, I forwarded telemetry (Mavlink) from my ELRS backpack to an EP1 backpack receiver connected on the tracker. This will soon be released on the next ELRS fw. By that time, I will be posting a detailed video guide on how to configure the ELRS for the Crossbow mini antenna tracker.

You can use alternatives for the devices I got on my rig, but I opted to use the MFD Crossbow mini as it works on various protocols. I also opted to go with Walksnail FPV system as I find it really good especially with the way I fly.

Note: Antennas used are TrueRC X2-Air RHCP patches and GEPRC Triple feed patch array antennas (set to RHCP too). I preferred to use RHCP since I already got these high gain antennas before I got into the Walksnail ecosystem, I needed to change the VTX antenna though to RHCP to match polarizations.
