Rules overview:
The rules of this account are simple, I can only use rewards I get from looting chests throughout Gielinor. While this may not seem like a lot of content upfront, I am going to walk you through just exactly what this account will have access to. There will be some exceptions as to what I can use, although they will be minor. I want to clarify, at NO point will be using any equipment that we do not get from a chest, this mainly includes weapons and armor. After thinking about this for hours, I have decided to allow myself to buy skilling supplies from shops to progress the account, this is the only exception to the chests rule. I am also allowing myself to buy clue step items from shops, but I will ONLY be using those items for clue steps! There are some chests that are locked behind quests, which is why I have made this exception. I want to go over some questions that will most likely be asked.
Q: Are you allowed to complete quests?
A: Yes, but any supplies I gather from quests (unless needed in later quests) will be dropped immediately.
Q: How will you use supplies like herbs from chests?
A: I will be allowed to buy/collect/grow the secondaries if able. We are getting the main ingredient from chests; I believe it is only fair to be allowed to collect the secondary.
Q: What will happen with items you obtain through skilling?
A: Any items I obtain through skilling, other than early food (salmon or lower), will be dropped and not used to progress the account. (Example, I cut oak logs and fletch them into long bows, I will drop the long bows instead of selling them).
Q: What will you do with ornament kits?
A: If I obtain an ornament kit, I will allow myself to obtain the item it is used on. I want to make sure that there is little to no dead reward content that we can obtain.
Q: What happens if you die?
A: Nothing, I will progress the account as a normal ironman. I made it a HCIM just for fun. I thought about doing a UIM, but I already have a UIM series going on atm.
Q: There can’t be that much content in chests, what is you end goal?
A: My end goal is raids, since the rewards are obtained from a chest, I believe this is the perfect endgame content.
