Our latest SBSH adventure (and our most logistically challenged) takes place in the unceded and ancestral territory of the Coast Salish and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh speaking peoples, we recognize with deep gratitude the opportunity to visit and recreate on this land.

In Mika's search for community she got accepted in to a climbing program that would take her to meet today's guest Amy Bender. Amy jokes that climbing ruined her life, in the best way possible, since everything in her day to day revolves around climbing. Even traveling is planned around good climbing spots instead of the more common, touristy places. What in childhood seemed like not even a possibility, Amy has turned climbing into a career and her community.
