This SF Author Has Won More Awards Than Any Other || The 'Savage Humanism' of Connie Willis

Описание к видео This SF Author Has Won More Awards Than Any Other || The 'Savage Humanism' of Connie Willis

SFWA Grand Master Connie Willis is the most decorated SFF author of all time, having won a combined 27 Hugo, Nebula and Locus awards over the past 40 years. Her recipe for success is equally unparalleled. Early in her writing career, she sidestepped the pulp magazine traditions that shaped much of SF over the past century. Instead, she used Hollywood screwball comedies from the 1930s and 40s as the structural template for many of her science fiction stories and novels.

She's one of my favorite authors, and I hope this overview of her novels and short fiction inspires you to give her works a try.
