Railroad switching on short line railroad Cincinnati Eastern Railroad. CCET had just switched the yard in Afton and they were backing a BOXCAR TRAIN across a couple of crossings into Huhtamaki to switch the plant. A General Electric B36-7 and an EMD MP15DC were both shoving the train. I filmed both sides of the train. After working the Huhtamaki complex in Batavia, Ohio, the train returned to Clare Yard in Mariemont, Ohio at the Norfolk Southern Railroad interchange. The beginning of the video shows the tracks in Mount Orab, Ohio which is the closest town to me. The rails are very rusty since a train has not been this far on the line in 2 weeks. Todays train did not come to Mount Orab either. Currently there are only 2 customers past Mt Orab not including car storage. 2022 Update: CCET starting hauling stone out of Plum Run at Hanson Quarry just a few months ago. This is located east of Peebles, Ohio near the end of active track. Filmed March 3, 2021. Thanks for watching!
