Astapadi by Anjana Anand at Indika Festival 2013 | Bharatanatyam | Milap

Описание к видео Astapadi by Anjana Anand at Indika Festival 2013 | Bharatanatyam | Milap

Anjana Anand represents the next generation of talented Bharatanatyam dancers. A graduate of the legendary Kalakshetra Foundation in Chennai, she is a talented performer and choreographer, with recent works being presented in Singapore and Sri Lanka. Her poise and grace are only matched by her energy, making her an engaging and inspirational dancer to watch.

Here Anjana Present Jayadeva’s ‘Astapadi’, In which Radha Chances upon Krishna, dancing and enticing the other Gopis.

‘O friends’, says a petulant Radha, ‘Krishna is deliberately engaging in love play with these women to make fun of me’. Caught between jealousy and longing, Radha looks on entranced at Krishna, the Peacock feather in his hair, likened to a rainbow I the dark sky!

In Ragamalika / Adi Talam

Music by: Sri Bhagavatulu Sitharama Sharma

Choreography by: Krishnaveni Laxman
