I purchased this hard drive enclosure because the hard disk of my laptop failed and became internally unusable. However, when I put the hard drive into the external case and connected it via a USB cable, the hdd became usable again. All my files are there and I can even store new ones as long as there is free space. Basically, I made the hard drive from internal to external, and now use it as a backup storage.

As you can see, it's super easy to connect the hard drive to the enclosure. You just need a small cross-head screwdriver and a couple of minutes to spend.
