This is a 16mm scan of an animated public service announcement (PSA) film called "Fire Trouble on Nyanta's Birthday". The film tells the story of Nyanta, whose birthday party is today. On his way home to prepare for it, he scolds some other kids for irresponsibly playing with fire. When Nyanta gets home, he agrees to look after his mother's cooking while she's away, but a prank set by the same kids from earlier turns into disaster as it causes a fire in the kitchen. The film was part of a large educational initiative in Japan, which produced many such safety films, whether it be about traffic safety or fire safety. This film, like many other PSAs of its kind, was never released on home video, and was only available to view on 16mm film. As a result, this special is quite rare and we're happy to present it for the first time in HD for the public to see in its entirety.

The film was acquired by us, and we scanned it in 4K resolution. The colors on the print were pristine and needed no correction. The print is also a bit dirty and scratched up, but it is not too bad. Nothing was altered from the original scan. This upload was subtitled by LonelyChaser Fansubs.
