3 digit x 2 digit worked example.
I use a little extra trick to help students. Frequently students make the mistake of adding a carried/regrouped digit to the digit they are multiplying. Then of course they go wrong. This tiny modification to the standard algorithm helps them to succeed from the very beginning.
Review at the end with a 4 digit x 3 digit sum. That is a very simple problem with no regrouping, on purpose, as the point is the 2 zeroes because we're multiplying by 100s.
