The Princess of Wales appears to be having a whale of a time during her visit to Scotland alongside the Prince of Wales. The royal couple were all smiles today 20 January as they were snapped laughing and chatting happily during a visit to Stirling Scotland. The Princess was particularly in her element when she took to the ice revealing a fun competitive side to her personality as she had a go at curling with Prince William.

While in Stirling the Prince and Princess met with the Team GB and Paralympics GB curling teams at the National Curling Academy and got stuck in with a go themselves. Kate appeared to take a shine to the sport and was seen laughing cheering and celebrating during her turns.

The high spirits continued as they greeted members of the public. The Princess paid tribute to the Scottish setting in a blue tartan coat and sapphire earrings that matched her iconic engagement ring once belonging to Princess Diana.

The trip began with a visit to The Kelpies where the couple learned about the mythology and craftsmanship behind the famous sculptures
