Setting a Model 801 Tomahawk Beaver Trap

This video is a quick guide to set a model 801 Tomahawk Beaver Trap. First secure the jaws under the saftey latches. Then set the trigger bar on the trigger trip spring. After the trigger bar is set you can secure the trigger rods into the trip rod release loops. Your trap is now set. You can carefully remove the safety hooks. Be sure to set your trap a couple of times before you use it in the field so you are comfortable with it. When you release the trap use a towel or glove (DO NOT REACH IN THE TRAP) When setting this trap to catch a beaver make sure to leave enough room at the top of the trap so the trapped animal is above the water line.
