Cold Steel - Talwar Sword

The Indian Talwar is considered by many to be one of the finest cutting swords ever devised. Taking design cues from the most experienced Indian Swordsmen of the past, and the Pindari chief of old, Amir Khan, our company President Lynn C Thompson combined the strongly curved blade of the British Light Cavalry Saber with its distinctive hatchet point (wider near the tip than the forté) with a traditionally styled and highly functional Indian hilt.
The blade of our Talwar is hand forged from incredibly resilient 1055 Carbon steel and features a broad fuller and a combat sharp edge. It is superbly counter-balanced by its beautifully crafted brass hilt -- which features an intricately decorated surface, thick quillons, a single knuckle bow and a traditional dish shaped pommel to lock your hand securely in place even when making big, swinging cuts.
The Talwar comes complete with an excellent wood and leather scabbard is capped at either end with a thick brass throat and chape.
