RDX T1 Combox Face Shield Durability Test | Answering common questions about the face shield.

The RDX T1 Combox is a sparring helmet that comes with a face shield. This is a followup video to a review that I did for this boxing headgear.

One of the most common questions that I've received is how durable is the face shield itself? How strong is it? Could it take a hit from a stick and still hold up?

So for this video, I thought I would actually hit myself in the face with a stick and see what happens! To see how durable it actually is. Then I'll take it off and I'll try it without it covering my face.

It's got a bar coming across the front, as well as flat panels across the mouth that do have bars inside them and are still pretty durable.

Just from experience, this little bit of tapping without this face shield on would definitely break your nose. If you were to get hit over here on the side of the head, you're going to break your bone around your eye.

Using the same amount of force from the stick on your finger would break it. Just to give you an idea of the force that I'm hitting the helmet with.

After all of the strikes to the face shield, there are no cracks. It's obviously pretty durable.

Another common question that I got was about the spacing of the gap for the eyes, does a fist fit through that gap? So I've got a little tape measure here and with the inches, we've got what looks to be a two-inch gap. That's how big that opening is where your eyes are.
