Humminbird Helix Go To MOB Key, Button Functions

Описание к видео Humminbird Helix Go To MOB Key, Button Functions

The Go To MOB key is a button I use all the time! When navigating to a waypoint or cursor position, it will enable me to follow a navigation grid with off course alarms. This Go To function will help you not only save gas but will allow you to navigate in fog, rough conditions, and through a snow storm if you enjoy ice fishing! Keep in mind, you still have to avoid obstacles and danger zones along the way. The MOB function could save a life and I encourage you to practice the use of this button much like you would a fire drill. MOB stands for Man Overboard! It’s much better to practice with this key beforehand rather than try to figure it out in a panic during an actual rescue. In windy, rough, snowy conditions you could lose sight of the victim. By hitting the MOB key, you will have a waypoint to go to and reference if you lose sight of the victim. Knowing where the victim went in, monitoring the wind direction will give you an educated guess as to where they might be drifting. It truly could help you save a life!!! As a responsible boater, I encourage you to understand and practice the use of this key. The Humminbird Go To MOB is a critically important safety mechanism built into units with gps chart capability. The Go To MOB can also be used with IPilot Link trolling motors and networkable Humminbird units to do things like Circle Mode (previously done on my channel) and Follow the Contour but I will do that video on another day. Hopefully this Go To MOB key video will help prepare someone watching to use and rescue a potential victim and avoid a tragic, avoidable accident!
