Fun fact: This whole lobby was bots, even my allies lol.
You can tell by a few things:
1. They have the default background profile.
2. They pick characters to combo with you and balance 2 healers, damage and vanguards (they'll only combo if the role is not filled with 2 max, meaning if there is another player as a healer and you're Jeff, the bot won't pick Luna Snow to combo with you and if no vanguards are available, they won't pick Groot to combo with you either, so they'll try to find another possible player to combo with and if that isn't possible, then they go random).
3. They never confirm their hero selection until the countdown is finished. (the hero is faded on the hero select).
4. They emulate human players in spawn by randomly moving and attacking and also locking onto a player and spamming attacks on them or walking up to them and emoting (they also put sprays down and say "Attack here!" before the spawn doors open or "I need healing" in spawn.

The default bots never do this in spawn and only stand still, which is an interesting choice by the devs compared to the human-emulating bots on your team in vs AI.
