Meet Caroline Schwitzky, a recent graduate of our Nurturing Parenting Program. Find out the impact Amigos has had on her and her family.

Carolina, tell us about your experience with the Nurturing Parenting Program?
Where do I begin? This program has changed my life and my children’s point of view. When I first began I was under the impression that I was doing everything right as a parent and had it all figured out. Well I was wrong, my approach, my demeanor, my burdens were all hurting my children more than helping. I thank God every day that I met Martha our counselor and the entire team of Amigos For Kids. They helped me become a better mother, a stronger communicator and an even more compassionate person.
What has been you experience with Amigos during the pandemic?
During these difficult times I felt defeated and alone but thanks to Amigos For Kids they have kept a weekly group where they continue to go over lessons to reiterate what we learned in the program. The support I have received through our chats, our lessons, the support from Martha who constantly reminds me of how great of a mother I am and how tough times will past is something unexplainable and I am grateful for being a part of such a strong organization.
What do you like best about being part of the Amigos family?
Being a part of this amazing organization that continues to fill me with strength and faith is one of the best feelings in the world. Aside from the support with groceries and backpacks filled with school supplies, I find refuge in the friendships I have built. It is about the confidence I gained and having the feeling when I rest at night that everything will be alright. Amigos For Kids’ Nurturing Parenting Program is a program everyone should be a part of if they want to become better versions of themselves. I would not be where I am if it wasn't for Amigos For Kids. Thank you AFK!
