I recorded the "Original" Human Beans exactly 2 years ago, as an Acid Jam on The Korg Electribe ESX and Xox Bass Line. It should be still on my Soundcloud. The inspiration came from the painting I made at the time (oil on canvas), that sits in this video behind my right shoulder. Sounds From The Soil edit now was made with very little use of delays and reverbs. The LF goes raw to the mixer, and almost everything else has only different LFO-s modulating frequency and a little bit of resonance is used here and there. Everything from the Digitakt goes through the saturation cirquit of my beloved Analog Heat for some wooly warm vastness. Just organic acid structures and groove and atmospheric hiss in the background, that is widen up by the Flanger of the T-Resonator.

I fell in love with Acid Techno, when I was 14, right after my Goa Trance epoch. At that time (98 and onwards) there were these CD compilations: Acid Flash and Acid Traxx that I bought whenever I could get my hands on them. Also an enlightening record for me was a Mix Compilation by Acid Junkies: The Acid Life 2. All this was further compiled to the cassettes and I listened to it on my Walkman every possible moment, on long walks. It´s best to listen to music when walking. The thing about Acid for me was that all those riffs by 303 and such, sounded so organic. Like a natural phenomena...They had this cyclic evolvement and also no start and end point. One can pick any part within a loop, and set it in the attention as a start point and everything else in the track starts revolving around it. The vibe in this music was industrial and natural at the same time. I did not know back then, what exactly was used to do this kind of music but had a feeling that this sound must come from some seriously cool apparatus. I really wanted some day to get to know all these machines that have such vast worlds within. Now (20 years later LOL) I`m lucky to have one 303 clone, the Xox Baseline. And almost a year ago I ordered the "Liquid Foam" by Herbs And Stones (Gianluca Herbertson) that for me is the ultimate Acid Machine, with a raw, edgy and rich sound, and a playful groovy sequencing. It is a lot more chaotic than most Acid Synths, but for that reason it sounds even more organic. It looks and feels like it was a great ancestor of the TB 303, before the time of "computer controlled"... One synth I wish I also had in my Acid Department would have been the Softpop by Bastl Instruments, but I just found out that they are out of production and the prices already have doubled on the second-hand market...
