Tour de Big Bear Century Ride 2024 - 100 miles 8,000 ft of Climbing

Back at it again with the white Vans. We hit Big Bear Lake up and it hit back. This event is near and dear to my heart, as it was one of the first big events that got me into road cycling. This year was our 1st time riding the 100 mile course, and it didn't disappoint.

The first half of the ride went pretty smooth and fast, we arrived at the halfway point at the top of Onyx in just around 3 hrs. The second half was quite a bit tougher. I messed up my fueling, got a stomach ache, and then leg cramps from not enough salt. Luckily my friends were there to support me and we all rolled in through the finish line together.

I highly recommend this ride, whatever distance you choose. The scenery is beautiful and it's a good time.
