Plant-Based for 13+ Years… and My Testosterone Dropped.

I’ve been plant-based for over 13 years, and last year my testosterone dropped into the 400s.

I was shocked.

I was eating well.
Training consistently.
I felt okay — but something was clearly off.

And it wasn’t my diet.

The Real Culprit: Stress

At the time, my stress was through the roof:
• Work pressure
• Financial stress
• Long hours

That stress spilled into everything else.

Stress → Sleep → Recovery

Less sleep led to:
• Poor recovery
• More caffeine
• Energy drinks just to function

That’s when I decided to get blood work done — and saw the numbers.

Before Jumping to HRT, I Went Back to the Basics

I’m not anti-HRT — but I didn’t want to jump there without fixing lifestyle first.

So I reversed the problem from the ground up.

Step 1: Fix Sleep & Stress

I focused on relaxation and recovery:
• Magnesium to support relaxation and sleep quality
• Kill Switch (GABA, L-theanine, magnesium blend) to help calm my nervous system

As my sleep improved, my stress throughout the day dropped significantly.

Step 2: Support Hormones Naturally

• Vitamin D3 (plus more sunlight) for mood and hormone support
• Zinc to support recovery and testosterone production

Yes, you can get zinc from plant foods — but during this phase, supplementation helped me get back on track faster.

The Result

After 12–16 weeks, I retested.

My testosterone went from 479 → 917.

No HRT.
No shortcuts.
Just lifestyle correction + targeted supplementation.

Low testosterone isn’t always about diet.

It’s often:
• Chronic stress
• Poor sleep
• Burnout
