My last Park visit for this year's Ontario Provincial Park Tour finds me at SIOUX NARROWS for 2 days. The Landscapes in this part of the Province are incredible. Each one of these Northern Parks offers up such a unique experience that I am no longer surprised by the pull to revisit this part of Ontario each year. In my experiences of new landscapes, new adventures, new insights, and new perspectives, my trips consistently leave me in awe at the majesty of what I am gifted in Ontario's Provincial Park offerings.
Sioux Narrows is a small community of only a few hundred permanent residents. Still, during the summer months, it becomes a booming tourist destination for vacationers, cottagers, and all kinds of outdoor enthusiasts.
Sioux Narrows Provincial Park is situated on the shores of Lake Of The Woods, which is a one-million-acre lake with over 10,000 islands. It is internationally known for its walleye, smallmouth bass, and largemouth bass fishing.
For myself, I enjoy walking the scenic trails, meandering through the campgrounds, and scoping out the setups of the RVers and Trailer Travelers who do what I do on a grander scale. I am not out to prove my stamina or endurance, but only to revel in what my adventure has to offer and learn from my experiences, knowing that it will inspire me to do better in planning for my next year's trip.
