From a personal perspective I think we can comfortably agree we all want to know how to make confident, efficient and just downright smart decisions. But, preaching to the choir here, for professionals the stakes are even higher - decisions are literally what makes or breaks a company.

And of course, while there are barriers we all know exist that influence decision making, I believe the real problem for many women isn’t making the decision itself, but rather the pressure we put on ourselves to make the ‘right decision’.

And while it is true that this gets easier with the more experience we have, we sometimes forget that it isn't easy for everyone, especially for those we mentor, the high-achieving women who are eager to show their true potential and earn their stripes.

Yet I think we can also agree it’s true that, even for those of us with years of experience, quote/unquote “bad decisions” will still be made no matter how deliberate and strategic we are in our decision making process.

That’s why, I believe to achieve this year’s International Women’s Day goal of investing in more women to accelerate progress, we need to help them stop worrying about making the right decision, and instead guide them to make a decision and then make it right.

Not only does that help support the goal of making smarter decisions faster, but it also helps the underlying and most important goal of investing in women: supporting those eager to rise in their leadership potential.

Having made many, many ‘bad’ decisions in my own life, including going bankrupt for a quarter million dollars when I was 23 and also giving myself a DIY fringe cut during covid, I bring a personal touch to the experience, offering relatable anecdotes and realistic strategies for real women who don’t live life on a highlight reel.

By the end of our session together, your audience will be left with a deeper understanding of themselves and also how they can better invest in the women they care about to accelerate their true potential.
