Anytime I redo or cover a song done by another artist, I perform the song as if I am writing the song for the artist instead of trying to replicate the drummer's original performance. Anytime an original track is recorded, the drummer usually performs the song much better live with more drum fills and "ad lib" intuitive nuances. This is what makes seeing the band live so much more enjoyable. Carter Beauford is very well known for this quality. This is my version performance of "Ants Marching". Thanks for watching.
