ABOUT THE CHARACTER/ANIME

Goku (孫悟空 Son Gokū) is the main character of Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super & Dragon Ball GT, and is a pure-blooded Saiyan. He is the son of Bardock and Gine, husband of Chi-Chi, the father of Gohan and Goten, the grandfather of Pan, and later, the great-great grandfather of Goku Jr. His rival is Vegeta, who always wishes to surpass him in any means possible. Goku is the defender of planet Earth and informally leads the Z-Fighters. Throughout his life, he trains hard and strives to be the greatest fighter in the known universe, while at the same time using his amazing strength and skills to uphold peace. He is pure hearted being able to ride the Flying Nimbus. These qualities make him the perfect example of a hero. Despite his abilities, Goku isn't well educated leading him to have a very simple, practical view of the world, and he can also be oblivious, this leads others to conclude he is stupid. He is the main character of every Dragon Ball series. He is also called Kakarot by other Saiyans. (Kakarot was the Saiyan name he was given at birth by his biological father, Bardock.)

Vegeta (ベジータ Bejīta), more specifically Vegeta IV (ベジータ四世 Bejīta Yonsei), recognized as Prince Vegeta (ベジータ王子 Bejīta Ōji) is the prince of the fallen Saiyan race and one of the major characters of the Dragon Ball series. Regal, egotistical, and full of pride, Vegeta was once a ruthless, cold-blooded warrior and outright killer, but later abandons his role in the Frieza Force, instead opting to remain and live on Earth. His character evolves from villain, to anti-hero, then to hero through the course of the series, repeatedly fighting alongside the universe's most powerful warriors in order to protect his new home and surpass Goku in power

Dragon Ball Series (Japanese: ドラゴンボール, Hepburn: Doragon Bōru) is a Japanese media franchise created by Akira Toriyama in 1984. The initial manga, written and illustrated by Toriyama, was serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1984 to 1995, with the 519 individual chapters collected into 42 tankōbon volumes by its publisher Shueisha. The Dragon Ball story takes place on Earth where Goku goes on adventures to find the Dragon Balls, as well as aspiring to become a great fighter, and compete in multiple martial arts tournaments. Goku later stops the evil Red Ribbon Army, then 3 years later, thwarts the Grand Demon King Piccolo's plans for world conquest, afterwards he and his friends protect the Earth from the Saiyan invasion. The setting also goes to Planet Namek later on in the series for Bulma, Gohan, and Kuririn to revive Goku's fallen friends from the Saiyan's attack, where they encounter Vegeta's higher ups, as well as the cosmic emperor, Freeza. Sometime after the defeat of Majin Buu, peace has returned to Earth. Goku has settled down and works as a farmer to support his family. His family and friends live peaceful lives. However, a new threat appears in the form of the God of Destruction named Beerus, who is considered to be the most terrifying and the second most powerful being in Universe Seven. Broly fights Vegeta and then Goku, growing stronger as the fight goes on and catching up to their Super Saiyan God forms. Goku overpowers Broly with Super Saiyan Blue and Frieza responds by murdering Paragus, triggering the awakening of Broly's Super Saiyan powers. He overwhelms Goku and Vegeta with his new power, so they trick him into attacking Frieza instead and then teleport to Piccolo's location. Goku and Piccolo teach Vegeta how to use the Fusion then Goku and Vegeta successfully fuse into Gogeta and teleport back to the battlefield. Gogeta defeats Broly and is about to obliterate him with a powerful energy wave, but Cheelai and Lemo, who had formed a friendship with Broly, summon Shenron with the Dragon Balls and use their wish to transport Broly back to Vampa.
