Hey everyone! You're all very welcome to check out the #video I made during my road trip around #Iceland in July 2025.
It was a full week driving a campervan on the Iceland's main national highway, 1,322 km (821 mi), that encircles the entire island, the famous Ring Road, connecting most major towns and highlighting diverse landscapes, from glaciers to volcanic deserts.
Iceland is a Nordic island country between the Arctic Ocean and the North Atlantic Ocean, located on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge between Europe and North America. Its capital is Reykjavík.
The country is known for its dramatic volcanic landscapes, glaciers, geysers, the majestic south coast waterfalls, black sand beaches, valleys, canyons and hot springs. During the summer months visitors can experience the phenomenon of the midnight sun, when the sun does not fully set, making it a lifetime experience.
The videos shows the variety of Icelandic sceneries of the country's iconic natural sites such as The Great Geysir, that expels steaming hot water every 8 to 10 minutes, the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon and Svínafellsjökull Glacier, the biggest glacier in Europe covering over 8100 km2, the Great Geyser, and Dyrhólaey, a 120-meter-high volcanic promontory on Iceland's South Coast near the town of Vík, also famous for its iconic sea arch, a century-old lighthouse, and abundant birdlife like puffins.
The country is also home of an estimated more than 10,000 waterfalls such the Iceland's most famous waterfall and a must-see attraction, as part of the Golden Circle route, Guffoss, passing through the Iceland’s most visited waterfall Seljalandsfoss, the magnificent 60-metre high waterfall and one of Iceland‘s most photogenic landmarks, Skogafoss where, according to legend, the first Viking settler in the area hid a treasure in the cave behind the cascade and the spectacular 30 meters high and forms an apron in a cliff, Hengifoss.
Iceland is well known by its must-see and world famous black sand beach Reynisfjara. Fauskasandur, located in the East of the country is one of the hidden gems of this country and best known for a huge rock that stands on the beach. Another iconic beach is the Diamond beach that takes its name from the glittering icebergs scattered across its shore like a field of diamonds.
Iceland is also a place of mesmerizing landscapes such its canyons Fjaðrárgljúfur with quite a unique serpent-like shape and the most stunning and interesting natural wonders of the country, Stuðlagil Canyon.
Last but not least is the video also shows the astonishing breathtaking mountain Vestrahorn, located on Iceland's east coast, just along from the charming fishing village of Höfn and Kirkjufell, a 463 m high hill on the north coast of Iceland's Snæfellsnes peninsula, near the town of Grundarfjörður. It is claimed to be the most photographed mountain in the country.
The video was entirely shot on Sony a7RIII with a Sigma 17-28mm f/2.8, #DJIMavic3 drone and edited in Final Cut ProX.
