This Ghazal is the story of Pandit Avadhkishor Pandey's Life. How a man from Dhanmau, a small village in Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh came to Udaipur, Rajasthan, leaving his whole family behind. He has expressed his emotions & thoughts which he feels, after leaving his home. He remembers all the stories & scenes of his childhood. In the last he left the listeners on an very emotional note that he said that he'll return to his home but that was a false promise....

मैं बहुत दूर चला आया हूँ
गाँव गलियों को छोड़ आया हूँ

अब पुराने वो हो गये किस्से

आज मैं उनकी याद में रोया
जिनको रोता मैं छोड़ आया

फिर सुबह से ही आ रही हिचकी
