I thought I'd let you all know about my experience with Kodi 17 so far. It's got a nice feel about it but still a bit buggy, they already have a 17.1 candidate out, candidate meaning it the version after beta and a 'candidate' for release, while people pick it to pieces. It won't work on a Mac yet as it can't create a folder the Mac needs to put the contents of the app into. The community are keen to change over to the new version hence creating a new build which is going down well, however some of the new features are lovely, like widgets, but they slow builds down, if you can deal with that vs easy to find addons, movies, TV shows etc then you'll love widgets, if you don't you can remove them and in the MingyMoo build a simply button press on the icon brings up all the easy to use menus you're used to. I have changed all the icons on the Kryptonite build as if you're anything like me I can't see text buttons that well and I like to have chunky buttons to press, but again if you don't like that you can have the ability to customise by choosing text only button features. The Kryptonite build uses Eminence 2 as a skin as I didn't like Estuary's layout very much. I found it unclear and way to buggy. They also have a touch screen version which I'm going to have a go at making a build from for those of you in need of a back button! I made a short video of the Proto Kryptonite build for you to look over, I hope you like it and as always your feedback is always welcome.
