Tandberg TP41 Transistor Portable Radio

Описание к видео Tandberg TP41 Transistor Portable Radio

The Tandberg TP41 was a quality portable radio from the Norwegian manufacturer, Tandberg.

The radio was introduced around 1971, and in fact this version dates from a little later. The audio quality was very good for the day, and it even had bass and treble controls on the front / top panel.

The European version TP41 transistor radio covered Long Medium and Short wavebands as well as VHF FM. reports indicate the US version did not cover long wave, but had two short wave bands.

On the side of the TP41 radio were located the external antenna input (car radio connector), a DIN loudspeaker two pin socket, miniature jack for the headphones. There was also an external power input connector and finally a circular DIN connector for the audio inputs and outputs - remember they were only mono.

The TP41 radio performed well, but was not up to the performance of modern day sets. Nevertheless the wooden case of the Tandberg TP41 gave it a stylish and upmarket feel.
