The Forodhani Night Food Market is a good place to explore when staying in Stone Town and Looking for Pocket Friendly places to have your dinner. They have lots of vendors selling different items which cost between 800 - 12,000 Tanzanian Shillings. Per person I would advise going with about $20 , roughly 2000 Kenyan Shillings maximum.

To note, the meat options are served with fries. Generally, my experience was good and the food did not upset my stomach. I would advice also going earlier at around 6pm if you are a tourist, that is if you want to avoid the large crowds and also to get a good sitting space as the sitting spaces are limited.
