I will be working on an 11x14 inch stretched canvas using the primary colors and white, mixed only with water! This demonstration shows you don't need to add any mediums to your mixtures to get a beautiful design. By layering the primary colors and white in a cup, I expect to see mixing when I flip the cup. I will layer white over the subsequent design and use a mini hair dryer to push the white paint across the canvas to create flower-like petals/fish-like fins! Paint from underneath will be picked up and mixed with the white during this process, creating more beautiful colors.

PAINT MIXTURES

I'm using exclusively Artist's Loft Soft Body Acrylic Paint for this video.

All colors and white: about 2 parts paint, 1 part water

For best results, all paint mixtures should have the same viscosity

Palette knife, heat gun, mini hair dryer, painter's pyramid stands
