Kochi: The synod will be in charge of the case involving the land deals in the Syro Malabar church. It has been pointed out that Bishop Sebastian Adayanthrath, who was in charge of the case, made some lapses. Mar Mathew Arackal, head of Kanjirapally arch diocese, would supervise the way the case is fought. In the case, the High Court directed the registration of an FIR and asked whether the Cardinal was a king.
