The QX50 has been sold under other names in the U.S., previously called the EX35 and EX37 and sold in Japan as the Skyline Crossover. The 2019 QX50 uses an all-new Variable Compression 2.0 Turbo engine. The 2017 QX50 uses the VQ37 engine and the VQ35 back when it was called the EX35.
