Facts:
Oslo has a way bigger transit system then what is in this video including way more bus lines, regional trains, a subway, more tram lines, and ferry lines.
Most of Oslos bus fleet is split into different so called garages but are all under the same company. Fares come in the form of cards and can be bought in Zones, any bus, train, subway, ferry, or tram line in the zone are all compatible with the same card. Most buses are powered by Electric, while some are powered by Hybrid, CNG, or Diesel.
In translation to New York City it goes like this:
Regional Trains can be compared to things like the Metro North Railroad or LIRR.
Buses remain the same. (Different Garages are like the different depots for MTA)
The subway is also the same style as the MTA
Trams don't exist in NYC
Ferries can be compared to the NYC Ferry
