Part 2 of the "Connie" Project, replacing the blown-out main drive gear on the three locomotives. After rebuilding the first one, Don has figured out the easiest way to install the replacement gear and axle available from Bachmann.

All early Bachmann Spectrum locomotives will lose their main axle drive gear as they all seem to split apart. While a MAJOR PROBLEM WITH EARLY BACHMANN this can be repaired in about 30 minutes!

After repairing the first "Connie" Don has figured out a reasonably quick and simple way to do this repair. Our third Consolation has working gears in it. We will inspect and if it still has its original gear, we will replace that one too.
