2020 Hyundai Sonata SEL 2.5L | Oil & Filter Change | Reset Maintenance Light

I am changing the oil to my 2020 Hyundai Sonata SEL 2.5Liter.

The parts and tools we used are directly below.

Supplies:
Oil Filter:
- Many can be used, but I used the WIX WL10514 from O’Reilly Auto Parts Store
Oil:
- Use a 0w-16 Full Synthetic Oil.
- 5.5 quarts are required, but make sure you check your dipstick to ensure proper fill levels. First clean the dipstick, then recheck. The oil should be visible between the 2 round detents on the end of the dipstick.
- 0W16 is preferred
Tools:
- Dust cover on underside of Engine for Oil Drain: 10mm socket & small flat blade screwdriver
- Dust cover on underside of Engine for Oil Filter: Flat Blade Screwdriver & 5/16” Allen Wrench (aka Hex Wrench)
- Engine Drain Plug: 17mm Socket
