A client has been with her ex for 3.5 years. In the beginning, he was more into her than she was into him. After a while, they moved in together. Then her mom started having health issues. She got stressed out and stopped being herself. She became grumpy. When she had sex with him, it wasn't amazing.

They had fights, but they still chose to be together. Eventually, he decided to break up with her saying that he only continued being in the relationship because it felt like the easy thing to do. He said that he loved her, but that was a long time ago.

She moved out after a month and a half and wished him well. They still kept seeing each other and having sex every few days. She hoped that this would make him come back to her. However, he would text only every 5 days and that's in order to ask her to come over.

She finally said that she couldn't do this anymore because she didn't want to be friends with benefits with him. He understood that but asked her if she could visit him one last time. She didn't reply to him.

After a month, though, she went over to his house to get her stuff.

They ended up having sex and did it again after a few days. She later texted that he didn't seem to miss them being together. He said that that is how things are right now.

She decided to say goodbye to him, but after 2 weeks she got in touch again asking if she received any letters at his place. She asked to meet with him again, but they could not agree on a good time.

I believe that their relationship is over. There's no need for her to pursue him any further. When she stopped messaging him, he did not try to get her back. Even if he does come back, it will just be for sex. It won’t be for anything more.
