Here at Canine Learning Academy. We want what's best for you and your dog. We work with people and dogs to help them form partnerships and enhance the quality of life at both ends of the leash. We are real good and making sure you are motivated in the process And that you have a good understanding of why things are happening with your dog, and what to do about it.


We have a positive motivation based approach to helping dogs and their people we use scientifically proven. We are proud to never use fear, pain or force in training. We believe that training should be fun that's why we're Karen Pryor Academy Training Partners.
We offer several options for training with us such as group classes, private training, all-day school, and even board & train.

Our Group classes for puppies and dogs of all ages are offered both virtual and in person. We have puppy classes for young puppies 8-20 weeks, manners classes for dogs of all ages, Rowdy rover for dogs that struggle with reactivity task training, therapy and even tricks classes where you can even teach your dog to bring you a drink from the refrigerator.

Private training is a convenient and flexible option for dogs and owners that prefer one on one attention. Daily slots are available at your home, at an offsite location or even virtually. Your dog will learn the fundamentals that lead to a strong lifelong foundation of success together. And You will be actively engaged in your dog's training, working as a team as you learn to communicate more effectively with your dog

For young puppies 8-20 weeks we also offer all-day school and in-home Board & Train.

We can prevent unwanted behaviors from happening and start with a really solid foundation of training from an early age so that we can avoid some of the very common headaches.

If you work full time or have a busy family life but want your young puppy to grow up to be a dog that’s well rounded, comfortable in new places and can listen in public, a board and train experience can be a great step towards reaching your goals! With this option, your puppy lives with a certified trainer in their home, specializing in puppy training. During their stay they have an immersive socialization experience while learning foundational skills like coming when called, sit, down, staying, settling, and leash walking. Your puppy progresses their new skills easily, with the optimum conditions to promote powerful learning that lasts. So that you can enjoy life with a dog who is confident, well-behaved, and an upstanding member of doggy society!

With our All day puppy school, your puppy is with us all day while you work. Your puppy get individual attention learning new skills, positive socialization, enrichment opportunities, and more. Each week you have a private session where these skills are transferred over to you. These skills are transferred over to you. For in-person we service Newport Beach to Long Beach and all the beach cities in between.
