USP Dissolution Apparatus operation

This video provides information on the use of USP Dissolution Apparatus II for the Rhodes University Faculty of Pharmacy, Pharmaceutics Division Practical work that forms part of the fourth-year Pharmaceutics curriculum. The experiment allows students to monitor the release rates of two different suppositories. The video offers useful tips and insights for the setup and operational procedure of the apparatus. Product sampling insights are also included where sample preparation and analysis using ultraviolet spectroscopy is performed.
