APTA (Air Powered Tree Access) is from TreeStuff.com. It is for launching a 'throw-weight', with 'throw-line' attached, into a high access point in a tree. This video was requested to show the launching of throw-weight & line into 'blue sky' as a rough demonstration of the operation and range (100'+) of the APTA charged at approximately 90 psi with a 12 gram CO₂ cartridge.

I believe this version was originally developed by Nick Bonner at TreeStuff.com.
Also, the PVC versions we've all seen for years have a risk of blowing apart. This TreeStuff.com model is much safer.
