PLOT: The Third Young Lord of Xin State had been living a comfortable life outside the palace for many years. As a carefree and overconfident person, he enjoyed playing the field and acquired a legal wife, along with almost twenty concubines. One day, he was summoned back to the palace by his father to contribute to the court. However, he was allowed to bring only his wife and four concubines with him. This upset him greatly because he wanted to bring them all.

Assuming, in his overconfident and narcissistic manner, that all his concubines would want to accompany him, he decided to organize a beauty competition among them. The top four winners would have the privilege of going with him and his wife. Unfortunately, he was oblivious to the fact that his concubines were tired of his narcissistic and womanizing ways. They had been tricked into becoming his concubines and now desired to stay and enjoy life after he departed for the palace.

In the competition, all his concubines made deliberate efforts to lose, helping each other in the process. His wife, as the leader of the ladies, did her best to assist her companions in escaping the ridiculous competition. Despite his disappointment that none of his concubines passed his test, the ladies were overjoyed.

Refusing to give up, he eventually came up with another idea that was sure to be disliked by everyone.
