Brånd (Austria) - Wo draht da Weg? (Demo 2022)

The mighty, treacherous return from this solo project of J.M. (Kringa, Weathered Crest, Gates of Londra, etc.), here operating under his moniker of Vritra.

A man who should need no introduction, casting his foul spells from the alpine summits for over 10 years now. Brånd however is one of the projects where his malign and mysterious vision shines through the most.

Recorded between February and March, "Wo draht da Weg?" is rather cruder and more straigthforward than the past two releases, the mighty "Urkraft" demo and the excellent split with Calvary, but by any means a typical release, or one that lost Brånd's own touch.

"Wo draht da Weg?" is another excellent piece of Post-Punk infused Raw Black Metal, cloaked in the alpine mist and sorcery, as always evoked by Vritra's charimatic vocals and the hypnotizing keys. Pulsating basslines set the pace for a dance with death, as treacherous but vile guitars lurk and peek through the branches like the malignant gaze of a sorcerer, looking to cast his terrible ordeal.
