A condition in which the appendix becomes inflamed and filled with pus, causing pain. The appendix is a pouch-like structure attached at the start of the large intestine that has no known purpose.

The appendix is an organ situated between the junction of the small & large intestine. The length of an appendix can be somewhere between 2 to 20 cm. Infection in the appendix i.e. Appendicitis is one of the most common surgical problems in the stomach. Normally, the problem of appendicitis is found in kids & teenagers.

Most common reasons for appendicitis -
Constipation
Bacterial & Viral infection in the stomach
Hereditary factors

Appendicitis is a serious medical condition that should be treated by an expert only. There are two ways by which appendicitis can be treated -
Medical Management (with the help of medicines) - early-stage appendix problems can be treated in this way.
Surgical Treatment is offered to those patients who show serious complications of appendicitis.
