This is essentially a series of video diaries showing the development of my allotment plot.

The plot size is 10 metres long and 12 metres wide. I took the decision to create raised beds throughout the whole site. The long beds are 3.6 metres in length and 1.3 metres wide. The big bed across the back is 4.5 metres long and 1.5 metres wide.

The allotment has been created on old grazing land where the soil is mainly clay, so doesn't drain well in winter and then shrinks and cracks in summer. Clay does retain nutrients well so with some work it can become great.

I take an honest and pragmatic view on the successes and failures of the crop that I am trying to grow.
