★ABOUT THIS EPISODE★

This episode shows you how to install a mic in your dhol, but is not limited to this specific drum as the process can be followed for other drums as well.

SOME KEY STEPS:

1. Disassemble the Dhol/drum
2. Assemble the gooseneck on to flange and mark the finished orientation
3. Choose the flange mount location
4. Mark orientation on shell (inside the drum)
5. Create divot (small home) for the first screw hole (making it easier to screw)
6. Install first screw and then re-assemble the gooseneck onto flange to double-check the orientation
7. Create remaining divots and install last 2 screws (inside the drum)
8. Locate connector area with wood type in mind (outside the drum)
9. Drill pilot hole where the connector will be placed
10. Drill large diameter
11. Bore/sand connector hole to finish size
12. Install connector, and create divets for screws (outside the drum)
13. Install screws (outside the drum)
14. Place the mic in the gooseneck mount and wire the connector to the mic using a short length xlr male-to-female cable
15. Re-assemble the Dhol/drum
