Mahaveer Swami, born in 1959 in Bikaner, Rajasthan, is a celebrated artist whose passion for art has shaped his life and the global art scene. His journey began at a young age, receiving artistic guidance at home and pursuing formal training at the prestigious Rajasthan School of Art in Jaipur. Under the tutelage of the late Shri Vedpal Sharma "Bannu," Mahaveer Swami mastered the traditional styles of Indian painting, which laid the foundation for his distinctive approach to contemporary art.

With a remarkable career spanning over decades, Mahaveer Swami has exhibited his work in over 60 galleries worldwide, including major cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, New York, Paris, Brussels, and Hong Kong. His artwork is showcased in numerous museums and prestigious collections globally, including the Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation (USA), Museum of Sacred Art (Belgium), and the One Asia Project in Pondicherry.

Bikaner style of painting traces its origins to the imperial Mughal workshops that dispersed after the decline of royal patronage during Aurangzeb's reign. With its intricate, delicate lines and a colour palette that whispers rather than shouts, it weaves ancient tales of Indian mythology into exquisite masterpieces. Its roots, intertwined with the grandeur of Mughal art, bloom into scenes from the Ragmala, Bhagavata Purana, and Rasalila, each stroke and shade capturing a world where history and legend dance in sublime harmony.
