I have really enjoyed putting this video together. I thought I'd hate it as I am well known for being a huge advocate for Real Rum. As in, Rum that follows the E.U. Regulations and cannot be flavoured. You wouldn't compare a Pappy Van Winkle with Drambuie or Tanqueray Gin with Skyy Vodka, let alone be expected to like one just because you like the other.

As a Rum lover this drives me insane, and no more so than when a flavoured rum tries to pass itself off as an actual Rum, by placing the word Rum smack on the front of the label.

That said, this is a line up of my top 10 Spiced or Flavoured spirits that use Rum as their base. The scene has been changing at a rapid pace and there are now some really wonderful spiced rums out there for people to discover. Products that are made really well, with real thought going into the marriage of flavour and the quality of the product.
