Black History Month Concert Series 2024

Nearly 3,000 singers from our school programs across the city came together in harmony at the beautiful Chicago Symphony Orchestra for our Black History Month Concert Series 2024! This year's concert theme was Soul to Soul: the Evolution of African Music in America. Our singers, guided by faculty and guest artists, explored the rich ways Africana music uses rhythm and melody to connect the heart, mind, body, and soul.

With events like these, we continue our commitment to rigorous performance education and the visibility of authentic Africana music. Embracing the rich legacy of Africana influences in the evolution of modern America, Soul to Soul connects the music that moves us to the globally connected state of our world.
