Carson Tahoe Health has received its newest accreditation as a Primary Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention) and Resuscitation from the American College of Cardiology. The journey towards accreditation began in November 2020 and was officially awarded to us on December 21, 2021.

This 3-year accreditation is another way Carson Tahoe Health can enhance the health and well-being of our communities, one of the major driving forces behind the accreditation. The process of earning accreditation included data and outcome review to elevate and streamline the care processes and required collaboration throughout the entire healthcare system.

This is just one more step in improving our care surrounding heart health. Next steps will be to get resources and education out into the community about early heart attack care and the prevention of cardiovascular disease.
