Starting an Band: Inkle, Pick Up, or Tablet Weaving

How I start my inkle bands with a secure end that won’t unravel. Works with all styles of narrow band weaving. Works with and without fringe.

Materials used:
-Artiste crochet cotton, size 10. 1 solid color, 1 variegated color with the color shifts aligned.
-Leclerc Cendrel floor inkle loom
-homemade cards from a deck of poker cards
-craft sticks

Pattern: Double-turn Double-face setup for lettering, following instructions from Linda Hendrickson’s “Please Weave a Message” alphabets.
